San Simon Elementary School Board

San Simon Elementary School is governed by the Tohono O'odham Bureau of Indian Education School. TOBIES acts as the School Board to develop a quality educational program that ensures San Simon Elementary students excel academically, socially and culturally. We foster cultural preservation, promote community engagement and encourage lifelong learning.

Our Mission: Our mission is to educate and empower San Simon Elementary students within a culture of academic excellence that meets and exceeds state academic standards. Quality education is the cornerstone of San Simon’s thriving school community, and the school board is committed to providing the resources and guidance for optimal student success.

Community Engagement: We engage with parents, community members, and stakeholders to gather input and feedback and apply the most effective learning and teaching strategies.

Cultural Preservation: We infuse Tohono O'odham culture and traditions into our educational program to create a holistic and enriching learning environment. Students are provided various opportunities to engage with their heritage and Native identity.

We encourage parents, guardians, community members and stakeholders to partner with San Simon Elementary School. Your participation in school board meetings, committees and feedback sessions are invaluable in shaping the future of our students.
